WORLD CLASS FITNESS IN 100 WORDS

Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.

Crossfit Intro "Old Rec" at 1900

Come to the Old Rec at 1900 for a crossfit intro class. This is for all fitness levels and spouses are welcome. Tonight we will do some basic movements followed by an introductory (easy) workout. Once we are done with the crossfit workout we will be playing hockey, so bring your stick and shin-guards if you've got them.

  1. It was a good night at the gym for the first group crossfit workout (WOD). We had the C-shift regulars plus the Hursts, Lt Hales, Tyler, and Lt Haas. Everyone did great on their WOD and it was tons of fun. The Hockey game after was a blast, so we hope more can come next time. We're looking at Wed. night at 1900. I'll post the workout on Tues. so comment if you can be there.
